Second Annual
California Coastal Commission
Children's Poster Art Contest Winners

The California Coastal Commission hosted the 2nd Annual Children's Poster Art Contest sponsored by the PacBell Pioneers. Kindergarteners through 6th graders were invited to submit artwork that was based on the theme "Save Our Seas". We asked children to reflect through their artwork why marine debris is harmful to California coastal resources and what people can do to protect these resources. The grand prize winner will have her artwork featured on an Adopt-A-Beach poster to help publicize the year-round beach cleanup program. Every grade level had a winner and honorable mentions awarded. Below is the winning artwork for all winners as well as links to honorable mentions.
